Literacy Through Art Program (LTA)

This program is funded through the Joe Barnhart Foundation.  It is a partnership between Beeville ISD, the Barnhart Foundation, the Beeville Art Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.  Through the program students and teachers learn about art and integrate art into their regular instruction.  Children in grades PreK through 12 benefit from the program.

Math and Science Family Nights

All elementary schools hold Math and Science Family Nights which allow families to explore a variety of science activities.

Family Science Night shows students and parents that science can be fun.  Students discover that sound travels through something as simple as yarn,  your sense of smell tells you how things taste, things are not always as they appear (optical illusions), you can breathe in a bubble, and different things can cause objects to float or sink (surface tension and carbonation), just to name a few of the activities.

Instructional Technology

The integration of technology into the instructional setting is very important.  Students are using a variety of technology in the classroom.  Teachers are learning to use technology by attending classes sponsored by the school district.
